Made in Japan circa 1970, this seven-piece ceramic set carries the quiet confidence of a different era of making. The pitcher stands tall, its surface wrapped in a deep diamond lattice of raised rope detail, interrupted at the centre by a sculpted medallion — a pineapple and cluster of grapes rendered in relief, the grapes glazed in deep blue-purple against the warm olive ground.
